Description

Paximádi Koulouritza (Cretan dry bread), 600 gr.

Paximádi Koulouritza, the typical Cretan dry bread for für Dakos

Paximádi is a special Cretan bread which is the basis for the Cretan 'Dakos' and in the English language called 'Barley Rusks'.

The bread consists mainly of wholesome barley flour and is baked 2 times. The taste of Paximádi is not sweet so that you can use it as side dish together with spicy food.

For Cretan 'Dakos'  the Paximádi is lightly wetted with water and served with tomatoe, onion, feta, olive oil and spices.

Please note:   When you order Paximádi and you want to know how to prepare Dakos please give us a short information in the field 'Order and delivery comments:' on the first step of the ordering process; we will enclose a copy of the recipe to your package.
